An induction cooker is a flat electric chula. It heats the pot itself with a magnetic field, so the glass top stays fairly cool and almost no heat is wasted. You plug it into a normal wall socket and cook rice, dal, curry, tea and even fry fish on it.
Many families are buying one right now. The 12 kg LPG cylinder went up to ৳1,837 in October 2026, and in many areas the cylinder is hard to find at all. Line gas pressure is also low in the morning in many parts of Dhaka and Chattogram. An induction cooker will not replace your gas chula for everything, but it keeps the kitchen running when gas is short.
We picked the best one for each need: best overall, best on a tight budget, best for areas with unstable voltage, and a two burner model for big families. All of them were listed with home delivery in Bangladesh when we checked.
